The Great Expedition of Badr
غَزْوَةِ بَدْرٍ الْكُبْرَى وَيُقَالُ لَهَا: الْعُظْمَى، وَبَدْرُ الْقِتَالِ، وَيَوْمُ الْفُرْقَانِ، كَمَا رَوَاهُ ابْنُ جَرِيرٍ وَابْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، وَصَحَّحَهُ، وَالْحَاكِمُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَرَّقَ فِيهِ بَيْنَ الْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ.
Translation
✧ The Great Expedition of Badr It is also called the Greatest, Badr of Battle, and the Day of Furqān, as narrated by Ibn Jarīr and Ibn al-Mundhir, and authenticated by him, and al-Ḥākim on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: "Because Allah, the Exalted, distinguished therein between truth and falsehood."
