The story of Idris (peace be upon him)
الْأَحْدَاثِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ فِي زَمَنِ إِدْرِيسَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مِنْهَا أَنَّهُ مَلَكَ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّهَا فِي عَهْدِ إِدْرِيسَ بِيَوَرَاسِبَ، وَيُقَالُ: بُورَاسِبُ، وَهُوَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ الْأَهْنُوبِ، وَهُوَ صَدِيقُ إِبْلِيسَ، قَبَّلَ إِدْرِيسُ ظَهْرَهُ، وَظَهَرَتْ فِي مَنْكِبِهِ حِيتَانٌ، وَكَانَ دِينُهُ دِينَ الْبَرَاهِمَةِ، فَبَقِيَ مَلِكًا لِلْأَقَالِيمِ جَمِيعًا أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا نِصْفَ يَوْمٍ.
Translation
✧ Among the events that occurred during the time of Idrīs ﷺ: Among them is that the entire world was ruled during the era of Idrīs by Biyūrāsb, and it is said: Būrāsb, who is al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. al-Ahnūb, and he was a friend of Iblīs. Idrīs kissed his back, and two snakes appeared on his shoulder. His religion was the religion of the Brahmans. He remained king over all the regions for a thousand years less half a day.
