Genealogy of Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Some Accounts of His Forefathers and Ancestors
[ هَزِيمَةُ الْأَحْبَاشِ، وَنُبُوءَةُ سَطِيحٍ وَشِقٍّ ] وَهَذَا الَّذِي عَنَى سَطِيحٌ بِقَوْلِهِ: يَلِيهِ إرَمُ ذِي يَزَنَ يَخْرُجُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ عَدَنَ فَلَا يَتْرُكُ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ بِالْيَمَنِ وَاَلَّذِي عَنَى شِقٌّ بِقَوْلِهِ: : غُلَامٌ لَيْسَ بِدَنِيِّ وَلَا مُدَنٍّ يَخْرُجُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ بَيْتِ ذِي يَزَنَ
Translation
✧ [The defeat of the Abyssinians, and the prophecy of Saṭīḥ and Shiqq] This is what Saṭīḥ meant by his saying: He will be followed by Iram Dhū Yazan, who will come out against them from ʿAdan, and he will not leave a single one of them in al-Yaman. And what Shiqq meant by his saying: : A boy, neither lowly nor base, will come out against them from the house of Dhū Yazan.
