Then the year 363 AH began
وَفِيهَا خَرَجَ بَنُو هِلَالٍ وَجَمْعٌ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ عَلَى الْحَاجِّ، فَقَتَلُوا مِنْهُمْ خَلْقًا كَثِيرًا، وَضَاقَ الْوَقْتُ، فَبَطَلَ الْحَجُّ، وَلَمْ يَسْلَمْ إِلَّا مَنْ مَضَى مَعَ الشَّرِيفِ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ الْمُوسَوِيِّ، وَالِدِ الرَّضِيِّ، عَلَى طَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَتَمَّ حَجُّهُمْ.
Translation
✧ In that year, Banū Hilāl and a group of the Arabs attacked the pilgrims, killing a great number of them. The time became pressing, so the pilgrimage was annulled; none were saved except those who went with the Sharīf Abū Aḥmad al-Mūsawī, father of al-Raḍī, by way of Madinah, and their pilgrimage was completed.
