Then the year 359 AH began
فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، فِي رَبِيعٍ الْآخِرِ، اصْطَلَحَ قَرْغَوَيْهِ، غُلَامُ سَيْفِ الدَّوْلَةِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ، وَأَبُو الْمَعَالِي بْنُ سَيْفِ الدَّوْلَةِ، وَخُطِبَ لِأَبِي الْمَعَالِي بِحَلَبَ، وَكَانَ بِحِمْصَ، وَخَطَبَ هُوَ وَقَرْغَوَيْهِ فِي أَعْمَالِهِ لِلْمُعِزِّ لِدِينِ اللَّهِ الْعَلَوِيِّ، صَاحِبِ الْمَغْرِبِ وَمِصْرَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, in Rabīʿ al-Ākhir, Qarghawayh, the ghulām of Sayf al-Dawlah b. Ḥamdān, and Abū al-Maʿālī b. Sayf al-Dawlah made peace. The khuṭbah was made for Abū al-Maʿālī in Aleppo, though he was in Homs, while he and Qarghawayh made the khuṭbah in their domains for al-Muʿizz li-Dīn Allāh, the ʿAlawī ruler of the Maghreb and Egypt.
