Genealogy of Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Some Accounts of His Forefathers and Ancestors
[ أَوْلَادُ قُصَيٍّ وَأُمُّهُمْ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: فَوَلَدَ قُصَيُّ بْنُ كِلَابٍ أَرْبَعَةَ نَفَرٍ وَامْرَأَتَيْنِ: عَبْدَ مَنَافِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ، وَعَبْدَ الدَّارِ بْنَ قُصَيٍّ، وَعَبْدَ الْعُزَّى بْنَ قُصَيٍّ، وَعَبْدَ ( قُصَيِّ ) بْنَ قُصَيٍّ، وَتَخْمُرَ بِنْتَ قُصَيٍّ، وَبَرَّةَ بِنْتَ قُصَيٍّ. وَأُمُّهُمْ حُبَيُّ بِنْتُ حُلَيْلِ بْنِ حَبَشِيَّةَ بْنِ سَلُولَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَمْرِو الْخُزَاعِيِّ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَيُقَالُ: حُبْشِيَّةُ بْنُ سَلُولَ.
Translation
✧ [The children of Quṣayy and their mother] Ibn Isḥāq said: Quṣayy b. Kilāb begot four males and two females: ʿAbd Manāf b. Quṣayy, ʿAbd al-Dār b. Quṣayy, ʿAbd al-ʿUzzā b. Quṣayy, ʿAbd (Quṣayy) b. Quṣayy, Takhumur bt. Quṣayy, and Barrah bt. Quṣayy. Their mother was Ḥubbay bt. Ḥulayl b. Ḥabashiyyah b. Salūl b. Kaʿb b. ʿAmr al-Khuzāʿī. Ibn Hishām said: It is also said: Ḥubshiyyah b. Salūl.
