Then the year 358 AH began
وَفِيهَا طَلَبَ سَابُورُ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْقَرْمَطِيُّ مِنْ أَعْمَامِهِ أَنْ يُسَلِّمُوا الْأَمِيرَ إِلَيْهِ وَالْجَيْشَ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عَهِدَ إِلَيْهِ بِذَلِكَ، فَحَبَسُوهُ فِي دَارِهِ، وَوَكَّلُوا بِهِ، ثُمَّ أُخْرِجَ مَيِّتًا فِي نِصْفِ رَمَضَانَ، فَدُفِنَ وَمُنِعَ أَهْلُهُ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أُذِنَ لَهُمْ بَعْدَ أُسْبُوعٍ أَنْ يَعْمَلُوا مَا يُرِيدُونَ.
Translation
✧ In it Sābūr b. Abī Ṭāhir al-Qarmaṭī asked his paternal uncles to hand over the amir and the army to him, and he mentioned that his father had entrusted that to him. So they imprisoned him in his house and set guards over him. Then he was brought out dead in the middle of Ramaḍān, and he was buried, and his family was forbidden from weeping over him. Then after a week they were permitted to do what they wished.
