Then the year 351 AH began
وَفِيهَا سَارَ نَجَا غُلَامُ سَيْفِ الدَّوْلَةِ فِي جَيْشٍ إِلَى حِصْنِ زِيَادٍ، فَلَقِيَهُ جَمْعٌ مِنَ الرُّومِ، فَهَزَمَهُمْ، وَاسْتَأْمَنَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الرُّومِ خَمْسُمِائَةِ رَجُلٍ.
Translation
✧ In it, Najā, the servant of Sayf al-Dawlah, marched with an army to the fortress of Ziyād. A group of the Byzantines met him, and he defeated them, and five hundred men of the Byzantines sought safety from him.
