Then the year 351 AH began
وَفِيهَا فِي جُمَادَى الْآخِرَةِ، أَعَادَ سَيْفُ الدَّوْلَةِ بِنَاءَ عَيْنِ زَرْبَةَ، وَسَيَّرَ حَاجِبَهُ فِي جَيْشٍ مَعَ أَهْلِ طَرَسُوسَ إِلَى بِلَادِ الرُّومِ، فَغَنِمُوا، وَقَتَلُوا، وَسَبَوْا وَعَادُوا، فَقَصَدَ الرُّومُ حِصْنَ سَيْسِيَّةَ فَمَلَكُوهُ.
Translation
✧ In it, in Jumādā al-Ākhirah, Sayf al-Dawlah rebuilt ʿAyn Zarbah, and sent his chamberlain with an army along with the people of Ṭarsūs to the land of the Romans. They took booty, killed, captured captives, and returned. Then the Romans marched to the fortress of Sīsiyyah and took possession of it.
