Then the year 346 AH began
فِيهَا كَانَتْ فِتْنَةٌ بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الْكَرْخِ وَأَهْلِ السُّنَّةِ فِي الْمَذْهَبِ ، بِسَبَبِ السَّبِّ، فَقُتِلَ مِنَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَلْقٌ كَثِيرٌ.
Translation
✧ In it, there was a conflict (fitnah) between the people of al-Karkh and the people of the Sunnah concerning the doctrine, due to reviling (al-sabb), and many people from both parties were killed.
