Then the year 341 AH began
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ إِحْدَى وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ فَمِنَ الْحَوَادِثِ فِيهَا: أَنَّهُ وَرَدَ الْخَبَرُ بِحَرْبٍ جَرَتْ بَيْنَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَلَوِيِّ وَبَيْنَ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَكَانَتْ عَلَى الْمِصْرِيِّينَ، وَقُتِلَ أَمِيرُ مَكَّةَ، وَتَمَّ الْحَجُّ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ عَلَى طُمَأْنِينَةٍ، وَأَقَامَ أَهْلُ مِصْرَ الْخُطْبَةَ لِلْمِصْرِيِّ وَقْتَ الظُّهْرِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، وَأَقَامَ الْعَلَوِيُّ الْخُطْبَةَ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ لِرُكْنِ الدَّوْلَةِ وَمُعِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ.
Translation
✧ Then the year 341 AH began. Among the events in it: That news arrived of a battle that took place between Abū ʿAbd Allāh Aḥmad b. ʿUmar b. Yaḥyā al-ʿAlawī and the Egyptians in Makkah, and it was against the Egyptians, and the amir of Makkah was killed, and the pilgrimage in this year was completed in tranquility, and the people of Miṣr delivered the khuṭbah for the Egyptian at noon on the Day of ʿArafah, and the ʿAlawī delivered the khuṭbah after noon for Rukn al-Dawlah and Muʿizz al-Dawlah.
