Then the year 341 AH began
وَفِيهَا سَارَ رُكْنُ الدَّوْلَةِ مِنَ الرَّيِّ إِلَى طَبَرِسْتَانَ وَجُرْجَانَ، فَسَارَ عَنْهَا إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ نَسَا وَأَقَامَ بِهَا، وَاسْتَوْلَى رُكْنُ الدَّوْلَةِ عَلَى تِلْكَ الْبِلَادِ، وَعَادَ عَنْهَا إِلَى الرَّيِّ، وَاسْتَخْلَفَ بِجُرْجَانَ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ فَيْرُزَانَ وَعَلِيَّ بْنَ كَامَةَ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ رُكْنُ الدَّوْلَةِ عَنْهَا، قَصَدَهَا وَشْمَكِيرُ فَانْهَزَمُوا مِنْهُ، وَاسْتَرَدَّهَا وَشْمَكِيرُ.
Translation
✧ In this year, Rukn al-Dawlah marched from al-Rayy to Ṭabaristān and Jurjān. He then proceeded from there to the region of Nasā and stayed there. Rukn al-Dawlah took control of those lands and returned from there to al-Rayy. He appointed as his deputies in Jurjān al-Ḥasan b. Fayrūzān and ʿAlī b. Kāmah. When Rukn al-Dawlah returned from it, Washmakīr aimed for it, and they fled from him, and Washmakīr regained it.
