Then the year 341 AH began
فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ فِي رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ، ضَرَبَ مُعِزُّ الدَّوْلَةِ وَزِيرَهُ أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيَّ بِالْمَقَارِعِ مِائَةً وَخَمْسِينَ مِقْرَعَةً، وَوَكَّلَ بِهِ فِي دَارِهِ وَلَمْ يَعْزِلْهُ مِنْ وِزَارَتِهِ، وَكَانَ نَقِمَ عَلَيْهِ أُمُورًا ضَرْبَهُ بِسَبَبِهَا.
Translation
✧ In this year, in Rabīʿ al-Awwal, Muʿizz al-Dawla struck his vizier Abū Muḥammad al-Muhallabī with one hundred and fifty lashes with whips, and placed guards over him in his house, but did not dismiss him from his vizierate. He had found against him certain matters for which he struck him.
