Then the year 341 AH began
وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ مَلِكَ الرُّومُ مَدِينَةَ سِرُوجَ، وَسَبَوْا أَهْلَهَا وَغَنِمُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ، وَأَخْرَبُوا الْمَسَاجِدَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, the Byzantines took possession of the city of Surūj, captured its inhabitants, seized their wealth as booty, and destroyed the mosques.
