Then the year 338 AH began
فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ فِي جُمَادَى الْآخِرَةِ، قَلَّدَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَضَاءَ الْقُضَاةِ بِبَغْدَاذَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, in Jumādā al-Ākhirah, Abū al-Sāʾib ʿUtbah b. ʿAbd Allāh was invested with the office of chief judge in Baghdādh.
