Then the year 337 AH began
وَفِيهَا اسْتَأْمَنَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَرِيدِيُّ إِلَى مُعِزِّ الدَّوْلَةِ، وَقَدِمَ بَغْدَاذَ فَلَقِيَ مُعِزَّ الدَّوْلَةِ، فَأَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهِ وَأَقْطَعَهُ.
Translation
✧ In this year, Abū al-Qāsim al-Barīdī sought a pledge of safety from Muʿizz al-Dawlah. He arrived in Baghdādh and met Muʿizz al-Dawlah, who treated him kindly and granted him an iqṭāʿ.
