ذِكْرُ مَسِيرِ عَسْكَرِ خُرَاسَانَ إِلَى جُرْجَانَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ سَارَ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ قَرَاتَكِينَ فِي جُيُوشِ خُرَاسَانَ إِلَى جُرْجَانَ، صُحْبَةَ وَشْمَكِيرَ، وَبِهَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْفَيْرُزَانِ، وَكَانَ مَنْصُورٌ مُنْحَرِفًا عَنْ وَشْمَكِيرَ فِي السَّيْرِ، فَتَسَاهَلَ لِذَلِكَ مَعَ الْحَسَنِ، وَصَالَحَهُ وَأَخَذَ ابْنَهُ رَهِينَةً. ثُمَّ بَلَغَ مَنْصُورًا أَنَّ الْأَمِيرَ نُوحًا اتَّصَلَ بِابْنَةِ خَتَكِينَ، مَوْلَى قَرَاتَكِينَ، وَهُوَ صَاحِبُ بُسْتَ وَالرُّخَّجِ، فَسَاءَ ذَلِكَ مَنْصُورًا وَأَقْلَقَهُ، وَكَانَ نُوحٌ قَدْ زَوَّجَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ بِنْتًا لِمَنْصُورٍ مِنْ بَعْضِ مَوَالِيهِ، اسْمُهُ فَتَكِينُ، فَقَالَ مَنْصُورٌ: يَتَزَوَّجُ الْأَمِيرُ بِابْنَةِ مَوْلَايَ، وَتُزَوَّجُ ابْنَتِي مِنْ مَوْلَاهُ ؟ فَحَمَلَهُ ذَلِكَ عَلَى مُصَالَحَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْفَيْرُزَانِ وَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ ابْنَهُ، وَعَادَ عَنْهُ إِلَى نَيْسَابُورَ، وَأَقَامَ الْحَسَنُ بِزَوْزَنَ، وَبَقِيَ وَشْمَكِيرُ بِجُرْجَانَ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the march of the Khurasan army to Jurjan In this year Mansur b. Qaratakin marched with the armies of Khurasan to Jurjan, in company with Washmakir, while al-Hasan b. al-Fayruzan was there. Mansur had been inclined away from Washmakir during the march, so he took it easy with al-Hasan, made peace with him, and took his son as a hostage. Then Mansur learned that the amir Nuh had become connected with the daughter of Khatakin, the client of Qaratakin, who was the lord of Bust and al-Rukhkhaj. That displeased Mansur and disturbed him. Nuh had previously married a daughter of Mansur to one of his clients named Fatakin. Mansur said: "The amir marries the daughter of my master, while my daughter is married to his client?" That led him to make peace with al-Husayn b. al-Fayruzan and return his son to him, after which he went back from there to Naysabur. Al-Hasan stayed in Zawzan, and Washmakir remained in Jurjan.
