ذِكْرُ اسْتِيلَاءِ وَشْمَكِيرَ عَلَى جُرْجَانَ لَمَّا عَادَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ إِلَى نَيْسَابُورَ، لَقِيَهُ وَشْمَكِيرُ، وَقَدْ سَيَّرَهُ الْأَمِيرُ نُوحٍ وَمَعَهُ جَيْشٌ فِيهِمْ مَالِكُ بْنُ شَكَرْتَكِينَ، وَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي عَلِيٍّ يَأْمُرُهُ بِمُسَاعَدَةِ وَشْمَكِيرَ، فَوُجِّهَ فِيمَنْ مَعَهُ إِلَى جُرْجَانَ، وَبِهَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْفَيْرُزَانِ، فَالْتَقَوْا وَاقْتَتَلُوا فَانْهَزَمَ الْحَسَنُ، وَاسْتَوْلَى وَشْمَكِيرُ عَلَى جُرْجَانَ فِي صَفَرٍ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ.
Translation
✧ Mention of Washmakīr's seizure of Jurjān When Abū ʿAlī returned to Naysābūr, Washmakīr met him, having been dispatched by the amīr Nūḥ with an army that included Mālik b. Shakartakīn. He sent to Abū ʿAlī ordering him to assist Washmakīr, so he was sent with those with him to Jurjān, where al-Ḥasan b. al-Fayrūzān was. They met and fought, and al-Ḥasan was defeated. Washmakīr seized Jurjān in Ṣafar of the year three hundred and thirty-three.
