ذِكْرُ خُرُوجِ ابْنِ أَشْكَامَ عَلَى نُوحٍ وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ خَالَفَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَشْكَامَ عَلَى الْأَمِيرِ نُوحٍ، وَامْتَنَعَ بِخُوَارَزْمَ، فَسَارَ نُوحٌ مِنْ بُخَارَى إِلَى مَرْوَ بِسَبَبِهِ، وَسَيَّرَ إِلَيْهِ جَيْشًا، وَجَعَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَارِسَ، وَسَارُوا نَحْوَهُ، فَمَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، وَكَاتَبَ ابْنُ أَشْكَامَ مَلِكَ التُّرْكِ وَرَاسَلَهُ، وَاحْتَمَى بِهِ. وَكَانَ لِمَلِكِ التُّرْكِ وَلَدٌ فِي يَدِ نُوحٍ، وَهُوَ مَحْبُوسٌ بِبُخَارَى، فَرَاسَلَ نُوحٌ أَبَاهُ فِي إِطْلَاقِهِ لِيَقْبِضَ عَلَى ابْنِ أَشْكَامَ، فَأَجَابَهُ مَلِكُ التُّرْكِ إِلَى ذَلِكَ، فَلَمَّا عَلِمَ ابْنُ أَشْكَامَ الْحَالَ، عَادَ إِلَى طَاعَةِ نُوحٍ، وَفَارَقَ خُوَارَزْمَ، فَأَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهِ نُوحٌ وَأَكْرَمَهُ، وَعَفَا عَنْهُ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the rebellion of Ibn Ashkām against Nūḥ In this year, ʿAbd Allāh b. Ashkām rebelled against the emir Nūḥ and fortified himself in Khwārazm. Nūḥ marched from Bukhārā to Marw on his account, and sent an army against him, placing Ibrāhīm b. Bāris over them. They marched towards him, but Ibrāhīm died on the way. Ibn Ashkām wrote to the king of the Turks and corresponded with him, and sought his protection. The king of the Turks had a son in Nūḥ's hands, held captive in Bukhārā. Nūḥ corresponded with his father about releasing him so that he might seize Ibn Ashkām. The king of the Turks agreed to that. When Ibn Ashkām learned of the situation, he returned to obedience to Nūḥ and departed from Khwārazm. Nūḥ treated him kindly, honored him, and forgave him.
