Then the year 331 AH began
وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ: خَرَجَ خَلْقٌ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ التُّجَّارِ مِنْ بَغْدَادَ مَعَ الْحَاجِّ لِلِانْتِقَالِ إِلَى الشَّامِ وَمِصْرَ، لِاتِّصَالِ الْفِتَنِ بِبَغْدَادَ، وَتَوَاتُرِ الْمِحَنِ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السُّلْطَانِ.
Translation
✧ In this year, many merchants left Baghdad with the pilgrims to move to Syria and Egypt, because of the continuous disturbances in Baghdad and the successive afflictions they suffered from the authorities.
