Translation
✧ Ibn al-Jawzī said in al-Muntaẓam: In the month of Ayyār the clouds became thick, and the heat became very intense. Then on the last day of it—which was the twenty-fifth of Jumādā al-Ākhirah of this year—a very strong wind blew, and it darkened and blackened until after the ʿaṣr, then it lessened, then it returned after the late evening prayer. Ibn al-Jawzī said: In this same year many stars fell in Baghdad and al-Kūfah in a manner the like of which, or anything approaching it, had never been seen.
