the accounts of past peoples from the Israelites and others

Translation

✧ Imam Aḥmad said with his chain of transmission, on the authority of Abū Saʿīd, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There was among the Children of Israel a short woman who made two legs of wood, and she used to walk between two short women. She took a ring of gold and stuffed under its bezel the finest perfume, musk. When she passed by a gathering, she would move it, and its fragrance wafted.
