The story of ʿĪsā b. Maryam (peace be upon him)
Translation
✧ Explanation of what the tree of Ṭūbā is ʿĪsā said: O Lord, what is Ṭūbā? He said: It is the planting of a tree which I planted with My own hand, and it is for all the gardens. Its root is from Riḍwān, its water is from Tasnīm, its coldness is the coldness of camphor, its taste is the taste of ginger, and its fragrance is the fragrance of musk. Whoever drinks a single draught from it will never thirst after it, ever. ʿĪsā said: O Lord, give me to drink from it. He said: It is forbidden for the prophets to drink from it until that prophet drinks, and it is forbidden for the nations to drink from it until the nation of that prophet drinks from it. He said: O ʿĪsā, I am raising you to Me. He said: O Lord, why do You raise me? He said: I raise you, then I will send you down at the end of time, so that you may see from the nation of that prophet the wonders, and so that you may help them in fighting the accursed Dajjāl. I will send you down at the time of a prayer, then you will not lead them in prayer, because they are a nation that has been shown mercy, and there is no prophet after their prophet. And from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Zayd, from his father, that ʿĪsā said: O Lord, tell me about this nation that has been shown mercy. He said: The nation of Aḥmad. They are learned, wise, as if they were prophets. They are content with Me for little of what I give, and I am content with them for little of what they do, and I will admit them to Paradise for [saying] 'lā ilāha illā Allāh'. O ʿĪsā, they are the greatest number of the inhabitants of Paradise, because the tongues of no people have ever been humbled by 'lā ilāha illā Allāh' as their tongues have been humbled, and the necks of no people have ever been humbled by prostration as their necks have been humbled by it.
