The Year 216 AH
فِيهَا ظَهَرَ عَبْدُوسٌ الْفِهْرِيُّ بِمِصْرَ، فَوَثَبَ عَلَى عُمَّالِ الْمُعْتَصِمِ، فَقَتَلَ بَعْضَهُمْ فِي شَعْبَانَ، فَسَارَ الْمَأْمُونُ مِنْ دِمَشْقَ إِلَى مِصْرَ مُنْتَصَفَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ.
Translation
✧ In it, ʿAbdūs al-Fihrī appeared in Egypt, and he fell upon the agents of al-Muʿtaṣim, and he killed some of them in Shaʿbān. Then al-Maʾmūn set out from Damascus to Egypt in the middle of Dhū al-Ḥijjah.
