The Year 202 AH
وَجَرَتْ بِالْكُوفَةِ حُرُوبٌ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ الْمَأْمُونِ وَاقْتَتَلُوا قِتَالًا شَدِيدًا وَعَلَى أَصْحَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ السَّوَادُ وَعَلَى أَصْحَابِ الْمَأْمُونِ الْخُضْرَةُ وَاسْتَمَرَّ الْقِتَالُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَى أَوَاخِرِ رَجَبٍ.
Translation
✧ Wars took place in Kufa between the supporters of Ibrahim and the supporters of al-Ma'mun, and they fought a fierce battle. The supporters of Ibrahim wore black, and the supporters of al-Ma'mun wore green. The fighting between them continued until the end of Rajab.
