Then the year 153 AH began
وَفِيهَا غَزَا الصَّائِفَةَ مَعْيُوفُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَجُورِيُّ فَوَصَلَ إِلَى حِصْنٍ مِنْ حُصُونِ الرُّومِ لَيْلًا وَأَهْلُهُ نِيَامٌ، فَسَبَى وَأَسَرَ مَنْ كَانَ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ قَصَدَ اللَّاذِقِيَّةَ الْخَرَابَ، فَسَبَى مِنْهَا سِتَّةَ آلَافِ رَأْسٍ سِوَى الرِّجَالِ الْبَالِغِينَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, Maʿyūf b. Yaḥyā al-Ḥajūrī raided the summer expedition and reached a fortress among the fortresses of the Byzantines at night while its inhabitants were sleeping. He took captives and prisoners from among those who were in it. Then he headed toward al-Lādhiqiyyah al-Kharāb, and took from it six thousand captives besides the adult men.
