Then the year 150 AH of the Hijrah began
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَكَانَ هُوَ الْعَامِلَ عَلَى مَكَّةَ فِي قَوْلِ بَعْضِهِمْ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: بَلْ كَانَ الْعَامِلُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ. وَكَانَ عَلَى الْكُوفَةِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا سَوَّارٌ، وَعَلَى مِصْرَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ.
Translation
✧ ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAlī led the people in the ḥajj. According to some, he was the governor of Makkah, while others said that Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm was the governor. The governor of al-Kūfah was Muḥammad b. Sulaymān b. ʿAlī; of al-Baṣrah, ʿUqbah b. Salm, with Sawwār as its judge; and of Miṣr, Yazīd b. Ḥātim.
