Then the year 150 AH of the Hijrah began
وَفِيهَا خَرَجَ بِالْأَنْدَلُسِ غِيَاثُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّرِ الْأَسَدِيُّ بِنَائِحَةَ، فَجَمَعَ الْعُمَّالُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ جَمْعًا كَثِيرًا، وَسَارَ إِلَى غِيَاثٍ، فَوَاقَعَهُ، فَانْهَزَمَ غِيَاثٌ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ وَقُتِلَ غِيَاثٌ وَبُعِثَ بِرَأْسِهِ إِلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِقُرْطُبَةَ ).
Translation
✧ In it, in al-Andalus, Ghiyāth b. al-Musayyar al-Asadī rose in revolt at Nāʾiḥa. The governors of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān gathered a large force and marched against Ghiyāth. They engaged him, and Ghiyāth and those with him were defeated. Ghiyāth was killed, and his head was sent to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān in Cordoba.
