Then the year 144 AH began
وَفِيهَا رَجَعَ الْمَهْدِيُّ مِنْ خُرَاسَانَ إِلَى الْعِرَاقِ، وَبَنَى بِرَيْطَةَ ابْنَةِ عَمِّهِ السَّفَّاحِ.
Translation
✧ In this year al-Mahdī returned from Khurāsān to Iraq, and consummated his marriage with Rayṭah bt. his uncle al-Saffāḥ.
