Then the year 141 AH began
فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ عُزِلَ زِيَادُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَارِثِيُّ عَنْ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ وَالطَّائِفِ، وَاسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَسْرِيُّ فِي رَجَبٍ، وَعَلَى الطَّائِفِ وَمَكَّةَ: الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْعَتَكِيُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ خُرَاسَانَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, Ziyād b. ʿUbayd Allāh al-Ḥārithī was dismissed from Makkah, Madinah, and al-Ṭāʾif. Muḥammad b. Khālid b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Qasrī was appointed over Madinah in Rajab, and al-Haytham b. Muʿāwiyah al-ʿAtakī, from the people of Khurāsān, was appointed over al-Ṭāʾif and Makkah.
