Then the Year 138 AH Began

فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ خَرَجَ قُسْطَنْطِينُ مَلِكُ الرُّومِ إِلَى بَلَدِ الْإِسْلَامِ، فَدَخَلَ مَلَطْيَةَ عَنْوَةً وَقَهْرًا وَغَلَبَ أَهْلَهَا وَهَدَمَ سُورَهَا، وَعَفَا عَمَّنْ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُقَاتِلَةِ وَالذُّرِّيَّةِ

Translation

✧ In this year, Constantine, king of the Byzantines, marched to the land of Islam. He entered Malaṭya by force and compulsion, overpowered its people, and demolished its wall. He pardoned the fighting men and offspring who were in it.
