The Year 119 AH
ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ سنة تسع عشرة ومائة ( فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ غَزَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ أَرْضَ الرُّومِ ). وَفِيهَا غَزَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ إِرْمِينِيَّةَ، فَدَخَلَ بِلَادَ اللَّانِ ، وَسَارَ فِيهَا حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهَا إِلَى بِلَادِ الْخَزَرِ، فَمَرَّ بِبَلَنْجَرَ وَسَمَنْدَرَ وَانْتَهَى إِلَى الْبَيْضَاءِ الَّتِي يَكُونُ فِيهَا خَاقَانُ، فَهَرَبَ خَاقَانُ مِنْهُ.
Translation
✧ Mention of several events of the year one hundred and nineteen ( In this year al-Walīd b. al-Qaʿqāʿ raided the land of the Byzantines ). In it Marwān b. Muḥammad raided Armenia, and he entered the land of the Alān, and he marched through it until he exited from it to the land of the Khazar. He passed by Balanjar and Samandar and reached al-Bayḍāʾ, where the Khāqān was, and the Khāqān fled from him.
