The Year 110 of the Prophetic Hijrah
رِدَّةِ أَهْلِ كَرْدَرَ وفِي هَذِهِ سنة عشر ومائة ارْتَدَّ أَهْلُ كَرْدَرَ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَشْرَسُ جُنْدًا فَظَفِرُوا بِهِمْ، فَقَالَ عَرْفَجَةُ: وَنَحْنُ كَفَيْنَا أَهْلَ مَرْوٍ وَغَيْرَهُمْ وَنَحْنُ نَفَيْنَا التُّرْكَ عَنْ أَهْلِ كَرْدَرِ فَإِنْ تَجْعَلُوا مَا قَدْ غَنِمْنَا لِغَيْرِنَا فَقَدْ يُظْلَمُ الْمَرْءُ الْكَرِيمُ فَيَصْبِرُ
Translation
✧ The Apostasy of the People of Kardar In this year, 110, the people of Kardar apostatized. Ashras sent an army against them and they overcame them. ʿArfajah said: "We sufficed the people of Marw and others, and we expelled the Turks from the people of Kardar. If you assign what we have gained as booty to others, then a noble man may be wronged and endure patiently."
