ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ قِيلَ: وَفِي سنة ثلاث ومائة أَغَارَتِ التُّرْكُ عَلَى اللَّانِ، وَفِيهَا غَزَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الرُّومَ، فَفَتَحَ مَدِينَةً يُقَالُ لَهَا دَلْسَةَ. وَفِيهَا وُلِّيَ عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّضْرِيُّ الطَّائِفَ، وَعُزِلَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْهُ وَعَنْ مَكَّةَ.
Translation
✧ Mention of Several Events It is said: In the year one hundred and three, the Turks raided al-Lān. In it, al-ʿAbbās b. al-Walīd raided the Byzantines, and he conquered a city called Dalsa. In it, ʿAbd al-Wāḥid b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Naḍrī was appointed over al-Ṭāʾif, and ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Khālid was dismissed from it and from Makkah.
