The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وفي سَنَةُ تِسْعٍ وَخَمْسِينَ كان مَشْتَى عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ . قَالَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ: وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَامَئِذٍ غَزْوٌ فِي الْبَحْرِ. وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ: غَزَا فِي الْبَحْرِ جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ.
Translation
✧ In the year fifty-nine there was the winter expedition of ʿAmr b. Murrah al-Juhanī in the land of the Romans.. Al-Wāqidī said: There was no naval raid in that year. Others said: Junādah b. Umayyah raided by sea.
