The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وفي سَنَةُ سِتٍّ وَخَمْسِينَ كان مَشْتَى جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ . وَقِيلَ: عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ. وَفِيهَا: غَزَا الْبَحْرَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ شَجَرَةَ الرَّهَاوِيُّ، وَغَزَا الْبَرَّ عِيَاضُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ.
Translation
✧ Then the Year 56 AH Began In it was the winter expedition of Junādah b. Abī Umayyah in the land of the Romans. And it was said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Masʿūd. And in it: the sea was raided by Yazīd b. Shajarah al-Rahāwī, and the land was raided by ʿIyāḍ b. al-Ḥārith.
