The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وفي سنة ثلاث وخمسين حَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْعَاصِ، وَكَانَ هُوَ الْعَامِلَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، وَكَانَ عَلَى الْكُوفَةِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ أُسَيْدُ، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ سَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ. وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ خُلَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَنَفِيُّ.
Translation
✧ In the year fifty-three, Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ led the people in the pilgrimage, and he was the governor of Madinah. ʿAbd Allāh b. Khālid b. Usayd was over Kufa, Samurah b. Jundub over Basra, and Khulayd b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥanafī over Khurasan.
