The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وفي سنة ثلاث وأربعين وَلَّى مُعَاوِيَةُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ مِصْرَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ أَبِيهِ، فَوَلِيَهَا لَهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ سَنَتَيْنِ.
Translation
✧ In the year forty-three, Muʿāwiyah appointed ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ over Egypt after the death of his father, and he governed it for him for about two years.
