The story of Moses the one who spoke with Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
هُوَ مُوسَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ قَاهِثَ بْنِ عَازِرَ بْنِ لَاوِي بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ، كَذَلِكَ قَالَ هِشَامُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: مُوسَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ يَصْهَرَ بْنِ قَاهِثَ بْنِ لَاوِي. وَرَأَيْتُهُ بِخَطِّ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُنَادِي: "نَاهِبُ" بِالنُّونِ وَالْبَاءِ. وَوُلِدَ لَاوِي لِيَعْقُوبَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ تِسْعٍ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً، وَوُلِدَ قَاهِثُ لِلَاوِي وَهُوَ ابْنُ سِتٍّ وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، وَوُلِدَ لِقَاهِثَ يَصْهَرُ، وَوُلِدَ عِمْرَانُ لِيَصْهَرَ وَلَهُ سِتُّونَ سَنَةً، وَكَانَ عُمُرُهُ جَمِيعُهُ مِائَةً وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً. وَأُمُّ مُوسَى يُوخَابِدُ. وَاسْمُ امْرَأَتِهِ صَفُورَا بِنْتُ شُعَيْبٍ النَّبِيِّ.
Translation
✧ He is Moses b. ʿImrān b. Qāhith b. ʿĀzir b. Lāwī b. Yaʿqūb b. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm, peace be upon them. Thus said Hishām b. Muḥammad, from his father. Ibn Isḥāq said: Moses b. ʿImrān b. Yaṣhar b. Qāhith b. Lāwī. And I saw it in the handwriting of Abū al-Ḥusayn b. al-Munādī: "Nāhib," with nūn and bāʾ. Lāwī was born to Yaʿqūb when he was eighty-nine years old, Qāhith was born to Lāwī when he was forty-six years old, Yaṣhar was born to Qāhith, and ʿImrān was born to Yaṣhar when he was sixty years old; his entire lifespan was one hundred thirty years. The mother of Moses was Yūkhābid. The name of his wife was Ṣafūrā, daughter of Shuʿayb the prophet.
