Chapter mentioning the offspring of Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him)
Translation
✧ Al-Ḍaḥḥāk narrated on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās that Dhu al-Kifl was Yūshaʿ b. Nūn. In another report from Ibn ʿAbbās, he said: Dhu al-Kifl was one of the descendants of Ayyūb, and Allah Almighty sent him as a caller to His oneness in al-Shām. Another authority said: He was al-Yasaʿ b. Ukhṭūb, and he lived before Dāwūd. Wahb said: He lived after al-Yasaʿ. It was mentioned that Ayyūb, at the time of his death, bequeathed to his son Ḥawmal, and that Allah sent after him his son Bishr b. Ayyūb as a prophet and named him Dhu al-Kifl. He resided in al-Shām until he died, and his lifespan was seventy-five years.
