Chapter mentioning the offspring of Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him)
زَعَمَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ أَنَّ إِسْحَاقَ أَوَّلُ مُرْسَلٍ بَعْدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: وَلَمْ يَمُتْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَتَّى بُعِثَ إِسْحَاقُ إِلَى أَرْضِ الشَّامِ، وَبُعِثَ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ إِلَى كَنْعَانَ، وَبُعِثَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ إِلَى جُرْهُمَ، وَبُعِثَ لُوطٌ إِلَى سَدُومَ. قَالَ: وَكَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ كُلُّهُمْ أَحْيَاءً عَلَى عَهْدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
Translation
✧ Al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Muzāḥim claimed that Isḥāq was the first messenger after Ibrāhīm. He said: Ibrāhīm did not die until Isḥāq was sent to the land of al-Shām, Yaʿqūb b. Isḥāq was sent to Kanʿān, Ismāʿīl was sent to Jurhum, and Lūṭ was sent to Sadūm. He said: All of these were alive during the time of Ibrāhīm.
