Creation of the heavens and the earth
ذِكْرُ الْأَبْنِيَةِ الْحَصِينَةِ هِيَ كَثِيرَةُ الْعَدَدِ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْمُشْتَهِرَ الْمُنْتَهَى مِنْهَا مَدِينَةُ فِرْعَوْنِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَنْزِلُهَا، وَصَرْحُهُ الَّذِي بَنَاهُ لَهُ هَامَانُ، وَمَدَائِنُ كِسْرَى وَخَوَرْنَقُ بَهْرَامَ صُورٌ بِالْكُوفَةِ، وَمَدِينَةُ الْإِسْكَنْدَرِ عَلَى سَاحِلِ الْبَحْرِ، وَرُومِيَّةُ وَقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةُ، وَعَمُورَيَّةُ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the fortified buildings They are many in number, except that the famous and ultimate among them is the city of Pharaoh in which he used to reside, and his edifice that Hāmān built for him, and the cities of Kisrā and Khawarnaq of Bahrām Ṣūr near al-Kūfah, and the city of al-Iskandar on the seacoast, and Rūmiyyah and Qusṭanṭīniyyah, and ʿAmūriyyah.
