Chapter mentioning the offspring of Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him)
إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِمَا الصَّلَاةُ وَالتَّسْلِيمُ وُلِدَ وَلِأَبِيهِ مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ بَعْدَ أَخِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً، وَكَانَ عُمُرُ أُمِّهِ سَارَّةَ حِينَ بُشِّرَتْ بِهِ تِسْعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى إِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ [ الصَّافَّاتِ: 112، 113 ].
Translation
✧ Isaac son of Abraham (peace and blessings be upon them) He was born when his father was one hundred years old, fourteen years after his brother Ishmael. The age of his mother Sarah when she was given glad tidings of him was ninety years. Allah Almighty said: "And We gave him glad tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. And We blessed him and Isaac. And among their descendants are those who do good and those who clearly wrong themselves" [al-Saffat: 112, 113].
