Translation
✧ The Conversion of ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ, Khālid b. al-Walīd, and ʿUthmān b. Ṭalḥah When ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ saw that the cause of Islam was ascending, he gathered a group of his people and advised them to go out to the Negus. So he went out to him with his people. While he was there, he saw ʿAmr b. Umayyah al-Ḍamrī, a messenger from the Prophet ﷺ to the Negus. ʿAmr asked the Negus to permit him to kill ʿAmr b. Umayyah. The Negus became angry and informed him that ʿAmr b. Umayyah was the messenger of the Messenger of God, to whom revelation came from heaven. At that moment, Islam fell into ʿAmr's heart. So he departed from him and went to the sea, boarded a ship, and came to the Prophet ﷺ as a Muslim. On his way, he met Khālid b. al-Walīd and ʿUthmān b. Ṭalḥah, who had also become Muslims. They all went out together to the Prophet ﷺ as emigrants. The Muslims rejoiced, and the Prophet ﷺ was delighted by their conversion.
