The Expedition of al-Sawīq
Translation
✧ THE EXPEDITION OF AL-SAWĪQ It occurred after Badr, when Abū Sufyān sought vengeance against the Muslims. He set out with two hundred men and raided some outskirts of Madinah, killing a man from the Anṣār and his confederate. The Prophet ﷺ went out in pursuit with two hundred of the army, but Abū Sufyān had already fled, leaving behind provisions of sawīq that they had abandoned to lighten their loads. So the Prophet ﷺ returned to Madinah.
