حَدَّثَنَا دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ السِّجْزِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ وَصَالِحُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ وَحدثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى الْعَنَزِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ وَحدثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حَمْدَوَيْهِ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ قَالُوا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقَكُمْ كَمَا قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَرْزَاقَكُمْ۔ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ يُحِبُّ وَمَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ وَلَا يُعْطِي الْإِيمَانَ إِلَّا مَنْ يُحِبُّ۔»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «Indeed, Allah has divided your characters among you just as He has divided your provisions among you. And Allah gives the world to whom He loves and whom He does not love, but He gives faith only to whom He loves.»
Notes
This ḥadīth has a sound chain and is solitary from Aḥmad b. Janāb al-Miṣṣīṣī. In this book, our criteria is that we collect aḥādīth from credible narrators if we do not find any hidden defects in them. We have found two supporting evidences of ʿĪsá b. Yūnus and one of them meets the criteria of this book and it is from Sufyān b. ʿUqbah, the brother of Qabīṣah.
«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ۔ وَهُوَ شَرْطٌ مِنْ شَرْطِنَا فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ أَنَّا نُخَرِّجُ أفْرَادَ الثِّقَاتِ إِذَا لَمْ نَجِدْ لَهَا عِلَّةً۔ وَقَدْ وَجَدْنَا لِعِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ فِيهِ مُتَابِعَيْنِ: أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ شَرْطِ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ وَهُوَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ أَخُو قَبِيصَةَ» صحيح الإسناد
