حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي اللَّيْثِ ثنا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمِنًى فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ أَبْصَرَ رَجُلَيْنِ فِي أَوَاخِرِ النَّاسِ فَدَعَاهُمَا فَقَالَ «مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَ النَّاسِ؟» فَقَالَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّيْنَا فِي الرِّحَالِ قَالَ «فَلَا تَفْعَلَا إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فِي رَحْلِهِ ثُمَّ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَلْيُصَلِّهَا مَعَهُ فَإِنَّهَا لَهُ نَافِلَةٌ»

✧ I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Mina. When he said the salam, he noticed two men at the back of the people, so he called them and said: “What prevented you two from praying with the people?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, we prayed at our mounts.” He said: “Do not do that. If one of you prays at his mount and then catches the prayer with the imam, let him pray it with him, for it is a supererogatory prayer for him.”
