Translation

✧ Abu al-Abbas Muhammad b. Ya'qub narrated to us: al-Rabi' b. Sulayman informed us: al-Shafi'i informed us: Abd al-Aziz b. Muhammad informed us, from Zayd b. Aslam, and he mentioned it in a similar manner. This is an authentic hadith, and Malik b. Anas is the authority in the hadith of the Medinans, and it has been used as evidence in the Muwatta'. It is of the type I mentioned earlier: that if a companion does not have two narrators, they would not have included it. Mihjan — only his son narrated from him.
