✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out to Hunayn, he said: "Is there a man to guard us tonight?" Anas b. Abi Marthad al-Ghanawi said: "I, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Go." When the next day came, the Prophet ﷺ went out and said: "Have you sensed your horseman?" They said: "No." The Prophet ﷺ began to pray and turn toward the mountain pass. When he said the salam, he said: "Your horseman has arrived." When he came, he said: "Perhaps you dismounted?" He said: "No, except to pray or to relieve myself." Then he said: "I looked into the two mountain passes, and there were the Hawazin with their women, sheep, and camels heading to Hunayn." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Spoils for the Muslims tomorrow, if Allah wills." Sahih.
