✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned the Dajjal and said: “If he emerges while I am among you, I will be his adversary. If he emerges while I am not among you, then every person is his own adversary, and Allah is my successor over every Muslim. Indeed, he is blind in one eye, as if it were the eye of 'Abd al-'Uzza ibn Qatan al-Khuza'i. Indeed, written between his eyes is 'kafir,' which every Muslim reads. Whoever of you meets him, let him recite the opening of Surat al-Kahf. He will emerge from between Syria and Iraq, causing corruption right and left. O servants of Allah, stand firm.” He said it three times. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, how long will he remain on earth? He said: “Forty days: a day like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of his days like your days.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, how should we perform prayer on that day—a full day's prayer or should we estimate? He said: “Rather, estimate.”
